Haarsmas Cottage

Last week we went to the Haarsma's cottage...what a blast.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from the week.
(Look at my facebook for tons more pics..this uploading thing is taking too long)

Lori and I doing sparklers

We did a lot of fishing... and believe it or not... I loved it!

Wakeboarding...This is basically what our week was spent doing!

Jon doing a flip while wakeboarding... and ended up on his face.
He definitely didn't try this trick anymore.

Trying to get creative with my camera :)

Me learning how to wakeboard. This was as far as a got, my 16 million fears overtook me :(

Dan and Matt... These two guys crack me up. They will ride anything behind a boat. Here they decided to try the kayaks. Earlier it was a piece of plywood. What will they think of next?!

Don't Bother...

Okay...false alarm...this was not the true penny sale. (Or if it was it was pathetic) They only had 2 penny items today...my guess is that the bigger sale is still ahead! :)

Be Back In A Few....

Ha...I was in the middle of updated and re-doing my blog, when my hubby just yelled to me from the other room that he just found out they are having the penny sale at staples!!!!! This is something that a teacher CANNOT miss!!! So we are off....be back in a few to finish the update and let you know about all my new goodies :) YES!!! This is my favorite day!

The weather is suppose to be nice and I am so looking forward to RELAXATION!!! (I am not allowing myself to think about jobs this week, just FUN in the SUN...unless I happen to get a phone call for an interview :))

4th of July

I LOVE the 4th of July. I don't really know why but it is definitely one of my favorite holidays. I love all the festivities, fireworks, and the colors Red, White and Blue! We had a great day. I walked in the parade in the morning with Maple Tree. It was the perfect weather for a parade. After that Jon and I went golfing with Erin and Joel at Scott Lake, where Joel works. The course was dead... perfect for beginners like me ;) We played 9 holes, but I probably only played 4... for real :) Then after golfing we grilled out at Joel and Erins, then later headed downtown for fireworks. We watched them from the top of the chase building right in downtown GR...great view. I do have to say though...I really missed the Grandville fireworks, these ones did not impress me. Overall though, it was a GREAT day!

Golfing at Scott Lake

My Horrible Swing...I am still learning :)

Me and Jon on the top of the Chase building

Joel and Erin

Courtney and Jeff

And I leave you with a view of the fireworks in downtown from the top of a 10 story building :) HAPPY 4th OF JULY!!!

P.S.

I LOVE the 4th of July!!!

A bit of Randomness...

Okay....this blog is completely random but after all this blogging talk tonight... (Shelly...) :) I am just in the mood to blog!

Lets see...what have I been doing ALL week? Oh yeah...making my sticken portfolio that NO ONE will even look at. I really cant complain because it went much better than anticipated! I am very happy the way it turned out. Let me know if you ever want to take a look... hopefully I will have a least one taker so this thing wasn't a waste of my prescious blog reading time. :)

Anyways... After a few LATE nights of designing this ever so beautiful portfolio of mine, I was in need of some laughter. I have heard from 9 billion people that "The Proposal" is the funniest movie ever. Well, Kaite and I decided to go see it tonight (Jon wouldn't go with me, and he had hockey with "the guys" tonight). Anywats, you can now make that list 9 million and 2 people who think it is the funniest movie ever because Kaite and I both left with tears in our eyes from laughing. A must see for sure!

That has been my week so far....(and working for the Lindhouts which I am LOVING being back there, I missed them tons this last school year. ) I will have more updates of them later...I need to start taking more pictures this summer because I really hate posting without them. I could talk about swimming at Sunnbrook, golfing, baseball, airsoft wars, the list goes on and on but its just no fun without pictures. I promise I am going to get better at this. I even wrote myself a note to remember my camera when I leave in the morning :)

Thats it for now...Next post...4th of July... I WILL remember my camera that night :)
