Spring Break Plans...

... are currently being made!!! We have finally convinced Jon to go away for spring break. It will be us going with Matt and Lori. I am so stinking exciting. We are all in need of a little break and the only way I will get some R&R is if I am a long way from home. Last year we ventured off to Gulf Shores. It was a lot of fun but this year we thought we would try something a little different. We really wanted to head further south and go to Florida. After looking around, we couldn't really find much for the price range we had in mind. So, this years destination is.......

MYRTLE BEACH, SOUTH CAROLINA

I know what some of you are thinking... Probably the same thing I did when this location was first brought up, Is is going to be warm down there that time of year? At this point I dont really care. My husband agreed to going, and I am not staying home. What more could be better? I am excited to go here because it is a place that I have never been to. Actaully Matt is the only one that has so that should be fun. The other benefit to MB is the drive. Lots shorter than Florida. We will be down there from a Friday to a Friday. (Then the Sat. we get home I have the Lindhouts for 11 days... yep, I'm crazy but thats a whole other story!)

Anyways, more update in this later. I am 99% sure we are staying at this place ...

Skating at the Wierda's

Last night I babysat for the Wierda's. It was a really nice night so we headed out to their rink to skate. It was so much fun. Jon came over and played hockey with the boys. Kari was also in town so she joined in the fun as well. We were out there till 10:00 at night! Such a fun night!

Gabrielle and I posing for a picture.

Gabrielle wanted to take a picture of Kari and I

The boys played hockey ALL night

Gabrielle thought it was hilarious to spin me around. Finally by the end of the night I got the hang of it. (See the video at the bottom)

F.Y.I.

Okay... so my computer is one large piece of crap. It doesnt let me do anything. This is why I have not been updating. I finally remember to update while at my parents and I forget my camera card. SWEET! So, anyways, next time I update it will probably be a large post. There are two things on my list and a couple things this weekend that are worth posting about. Sorry for the delay. Apparently Joel checks up on me daily :)

Happy 2010!!!!

Wow, for starters, can you even believe it is the year 2010?! Yikes-O-Rama! That just seems crazy! Well anyways, last night we celebrated 2009 with some of our bestest friends! This year we all ended up at Josh and Kelly's house. It was a fun night but very different than the past years. It was very quiet, no games were played (besides a gift exchange), few beers were drank, we kinda just sat around and talked. We couldn't believe how boring we were and it freaked us out a bit... oh my gosh, a pure sign we are getting older. Overall we had a great night reminiscing on everything we did in 2009! Our year wasn't quite as exciting this year but we still has memories to share.

*In February Jon was able to travel halfway around the world to Africa. He saw things that I have always wanted to see. And did amazing things at their sister school they visited.

*In April we traveled with some of our besties to Gulf Shores for a fabulous spring break.

*In June we celebrated our first year of marriage. All of our closest family and friends joined us in this celebration.

*The summer was spent relaxing. Lots of this done at Sandy Pines, one of my favorite places ever! (The best part of us both being teachers, we get to spend the entire summer together)

*In the fall we were both blessed with still having jobs, you never know these days, especially in the education business if we will still be working. I just pray next year brings the same thing.

*In October I found out Erin and Joel are expecting their first little love. Bean is due in June and I so can't wait until that day!

Overall 2009 has been a year to remember, but I can't wait to see what 2010 brings along!!!!!
