Golf Cart Rides

I decided to make a quick post before I head off to bed. It's going to be short and sweet b/c I need as much sleep as I can get for week #2 of school. Kari was down here this weekend for her family reunion that happened to take place at Sandy Pines. I went out for the weekend so I could see her :) She stayed the night at our trailer on Saturday and we just played games and went on golf cart rides.

Now, we have had an entire summer go by with plenty of Sandy Pines posts, but none about golf cart rides. This is my absolute favorite thing about S.P. I could ride around all day on these things. It is basically what I spent my summer doing. (Just thought you should all know). For those of you who are not familiar with S.P. that is what everyone does there. I'm not crazy :) They even have golf cart parking spaces where ever you go :)

This is about the end of S.P. for the summer. One more trip out there to pack everything up :( I am looking forward to next summer already!!!

It's Football Season

Thursday night after a busy day at Sandy Pines I went to Cody's football game. I can't believe my "little" cousin is old enough to be playing varsity football. Cody is a Junior at Jenison and made varsity this year. There was no way I was missing his first game. It was a beautiful night for football. They lost, but the team played well! I'm looking forward to many more games this season. I can actaully get into football when I know one of the players :)

They had the parents walk the players out on the field

We are proud of you Coco!!! Good Luck this season!

Another Trip to Sandy Pines...

...With My Little Loves!

Thursday when I pulled up to the Lindhouts, I have never felt so loved! The three boys were waiting for me in the front yard. My windows were up and I could hear them screaming, "ASHLEY... MOM, ASHLEY'S HERE." I figured something must have been up because I don't usually get greeted like this. :) I got out and they were freaking out because I was there. When I walked inside, Cally greeted me with, "I hope your up for another trip to Sandy Pines....and FISHING!!!" The boys absolutely love it out there, and this year have LOVED fishing. Okay, let's get this straight, every other time we have been fishing at Sandy Pines my Dad has usually been there to help us out with the whole worm and fish on the hook business. Not exactly my cup of tea. Well, this was a Thursday and my Dad was at work so I had to do it myself. Thank goodness my Mom went out to help. I can handle worms but the fish... NO WAY!!! Sorry there is no way I am ever touching one of those things. (I have another story from when I went fishing with just Lukas, you can ask me later). Anyways, it made for an interesting day but we had a ton of fun. We fished, but we also mini golfed, went to the water park, rode on the golf cart, went to the candy store and as much else as we could. It just might be the last time their out there for the summer. Because, it has sadly come to an end....
I try to get a good picture of us and this is what he does :)
This is when Lukas grabs to camera a decides to be the photographer. It was so cute, the camera was the size of his head. He didn't do too bad for a 6 year old.
Each of the boys caught 1 fish... all bluegills (I guess :))
Enjoying his favorite pop... Root Beer! "Grandma Kim" sure spoils them.
Trying to get the fish of the hook. Real pros right there :)
Thumbs Up to a GREAT summer!!! :)

My Other Family! (Photo Overload)

My original thought just now was to post about our wonderful day at the pool. Then as I was looking through pictures, I have tons from this summer that I never posted of my time with the Lindhouts. So, today you get them all. A giant post of pictures from some of the things we did this summer! Enjoy!!!
