Happy 85th Birthday GRANDPA!!!

Grandpa Steenbergen celebrated his 85th birthday on Friday. The fam got together that night at Aunt Nancy and Unlce Rick's to celebrate with him. He looked great and kept saying, "This has been a great day." We could tell he was feeling good and LOVED having us all there. It meant a lot to him.

Brittners Graduated!!!

Thursday night Brittany graduated from Jenison High School. Oh my gosh...that made me feel old. I have been out of high school for 6 years now. That doesnt seem like much at all but when I watched her get her diploma, I felt like it has been forever since I was in high school. I really dont miss those days. Anyways, congrats Britt!!!! Job Hunting

A quick little post...

Now is the time of the year where us teachers without jobs, begin the dreaded job hunt. We are out there competing with thousands of others just like us. I just ask that you say a little prayer that God will send the perfect job my way. I know he has a plan and the perfect time for this to take place and I just hope that time is soon! (Like maybe next school year :) )

Fun Treats

Ok...I know I said I wasn't going to post until the weekend but I am too excited not too. I just finished making a fun treat for my student council kiddos and it actually turned out perfect. I just had to share it with you :) I can never make these things and have EVERY batch turn out the way they are suppose too....except tonight!!! They are homemade suckers... so exciting :) Also, we had a staff luncheon last Friday and I made fruit kabobs...they turned out cool too, I'll add a picture on here of those too. I decided that I love making fun treats that look cute :) Always looking for a reason to make them...

I'm Still Alive :)

Yeah...I have internet at home tonight, AND I remembered to take a breather and blog. I will not bore you with the craziness of my life and just move onto the weekend. (No more Gulf Shore Post...it was too long ago). We had a great weekend. Once again, busy, but nice. Friday night Kari spent the night and we just hung out and played guitar hero:) Saturday Erika and Chris got married. Their wedding was beautiful. Sunday was Mother's Day and we visited both of our moms. Now here I sit, Sunday night, 9PM, writing a quick post and then heading to bed for a good nights rest before my new crazy week begins.
